A tier list answer is a character name. A team composition answers a different question: which characters work together, in which order, with what gear, for which specific mode. The gap between those two is where most players stall, because copying a list of good characters produces a team of good characters, not a team that wins.
This covers the concrete compositions for every mode in Injustice: Gods Among Us Mobile right now, each with the gear priority and win condition baked in.
The principle that comes first
Before any team list: three finished characters beat six half-built ones in every mode. This is not a suggestion about taste, it is a structural fact about how the economy works. Power Credits fund levelling and gear, Nth Metal funds promotions, and both pools are shared across your entire roster. Spreading investment across a large team means everyone stays under the breakpoints that actually matter.
Build one team first. Then build a second with what you learned. The exception is Challenge Mode, which asks which characters you own rather than which ones are strong — but for everything else, depth beats breadth.
Online Battle: Flashpoint damage core
This is the team that currently dominates Online Battle leaderboards in 2026, and it works because of a single compounding interaction: Flashpoint Batman's passive doubles crit damage for every Flashpoint character on the team.
Flashpoint Batman, Flashpoint Aquaman, Flashpoint Deathstroke
The win condition is ending the first fight before the opponent generates a full bar of power for a resisted super. Flashpoint Batman has the highest base damage in the game, and with crit-amplifying gear, a single heavy swipe enters one-hit territory. Flashpoint Aquaman applies bleeds that also crit under Batman's passive. Flashpoint Deathstroke's SP1 calls in assists that crit as well, turning a single special into a multi-hit crit sequence.
The weakness is straightforward: Red Son Green Lantern makes his entire team immune to critical damage, which removes the core of this team's damage output. Against that matchup, swap to a non-crit strategy or rely on raw base damage.
Gear priority
| Character | Slot 1 | Slot 2 | Slot 3 |
|---|---|---|---|
| Flashpoint Batman | Promethium Longsword | LexCorp Helmet V2 | Overpowered 5-U-93-R |
| Flashpoint Aquaman | Master's Death Cart | The Ibistick | Quake Engine |
| Flashpoint Deathstroke | Blade of the War God | Gauntlets of Azrael | Heart of Darkness |
Batman's gear is all crit-focused: Promethium Longsword for basic damage and crit chance, LexCorp Helmet V2 for crit damage boosts, Overpowered 5-U-93-R for life drain and power drain on the combo ender. Aquaman runs DOT gear — The Ibistick and Quake Engine extend and spread his bleeds. Deathstroke gets sustain gear so he survives long enough to use his SP1 assists.
Why this works
- One-turn kill potential: Batman with crit gear can end most fights on the first tagged-in heavy combo.
- Bleed stacking: Aquaman's water spout applies a bleed. Under Batman's passive, that bleed crits. Multiple bleeds on the same opponent stack.
- Assist chaining: Deathstroke's SP1 calls in Batman and Aquaman for additional attacks, each of which can also crit. One special becomes four to six crit events.
This is not a team that plays long attrition fights. It is built to win in the window before the opponent can act.
Survivor Mode: sustain and hazard damage
Survivor Mode changes the team-building equation entirely. Health carries between fights, so the team that wins is the team that takes the least damage per victory, not the team that deals the most damage overall. Burst is wasted; sustain is mandatory.
Batman Ninja Batman, Hawkgirl (Blackest Night), Blackest Night Aquaman
Batman Ninja Batman is one of the tankiest characters in the game with the highest health among Gold characters, and his SP2 is guaranteed to crit when fully crit-augmented. Hawkgirl's faster tag-in cooldown lets you control swap timing, apply interrupts, and reset pressure. Blackest Night Aquaman brings hazard bleeds that bypass blocking and continue ticking across tag-ins, so damage accumulates even when you are not on the active character.
Gear priority
| Character | Slot 1 | Slot 2 | Slot 3 |
|---|---|---|---|
| Batman Ninja Batman | Tantu Totem | Batman Ninja Helmet | Cloak of Destiny |
| Hawkgirl (Blackest Knight) | Master's Death Cart | Scarecrow's Ventilator Mask | League of Assassins Adept Knives |
| Blackest Night Aquaman | The Ibistick | Quake Engine | Astro Harness |
Batman uses Tantu Totem for guaranteed power on tag-in and power refund on KOs — in Survivor, the ability to start every fight with a special ready is more valuable than raw crit damage. Hawkgirl's gear focuses on disruption: Master's Death Cart for tag-in unblockables, Scarecrow's mask for power drain, and LOA knives for splash damage. Aquaman gets DOT gear plus Astro Harness for survival — in a 15-fight run, the invulnerability triggers will save you more often than the damage contribution.
Why this works
- Health preservation: Astro Harness gives three invulnerability windows per run. In Survivor, that is effectively extra lives.
- Damage without spending health: Hazard bleeds from Aquaman and DOT from Ibistick apply while you are blocking or swapped out. You deal damage without taking it.
- Tag control: Hawgirl's faster swap cooldown lets you keep Batman's guaranteed-crit specials cycling, and lets you swap Aquaman out before he takes focused fire.
This team is built for length. It is not trying to end fights quickly — it is trying to end them at full health.
Campaign and farming: reliable aggression
For Standard Battle and campaign progression, you want a team that clears fights without requiring perfect execution or specific opponent matchups.
Deathstroke, Batman/Prime, Raven
Deathstroke's percentage damage and self-sustain make him durable across multiple fights. Batman/Prime provides a 25% team-wide damage boost that amplifies everyone. Raven's health-swap passive makes the team self-correcting — if a fight goes badly, she can steal enough health to reset the situation.
Gear priority
| Character | Slot 1 | Slot 2 | Slot 3 |
|---|---|---|---|
| Deathstroke | Blade of the War God | Gauntlets of Azrael | Heart of Darkness |
| Batman/Prime | Promethium Longsword | LexCorp Helmet V2 | Overpowered 5-U-93-R |
| Raven | Tantu Totem | The Ibistick | Mother Box |
This is the same gear philosophy as the Online Battle team scaled down: basic damage and crit on Batman, DOT and sustain on Deathstroke and Raven. Raven's Tantu Totem lets her start fights with power for her health-swap special, and Mother Box gives her a safety net if a fight turns badly.
Why this works
- Forgiving of mistakes: Deathstroke heals through fight errors. Raven resets bad situations. Batman amplifies whatever damage gets through.
- No matchup dependencies: Unlike the Flashpoint team, this composition does not rely on critical hits and is therefore not disabled by Red Son Green Lantern.
- Cheap to assemble: All three characters are available through standard gameplay or the Injustice shop, not locked behind Metal promotions or specific events.
This team is not the fastest, but it is the most reliable. If you are farming Standard Battle for credits, reliability beats speed.
Batman Ninja: the utility engine
The Batman Ninja team is built around Batman Ninja Batman's passive: when a Batman Ninja ally blocks a special attack, they gain power per blocked hit, and teammates drain power on tag-in. The team's value comes from resource generation, not raw damage.
Batman Ninja Batman, Batman Ninja Nightwing, Batman Ninja Joker
Nightwing is the key enabler. His Shinobi Arts passive gives power to Batman Ninja allies when they block special attacks, and his tag-in power drain means the team cycles through power faster than the opponent can use it. Joker provides the damage — his life drain on KOs lets the team sustain through fights that would otherwise drain health.
This team is not about one-shotting opponents. It is about controlling the pace of the fight and converting defensive positioning into offensive opportunity. Nightwing's unblockable tag-ins, Batman Ninja Batman's guaranteed-crit specials, and Joker's life drain create a loop where the team stays powered while the opponent gradually loses health.
Blackest Night: the sustain engine
The Blackest Night team revolves around The Flash (Blackest Night) and his death-based power generation passive, supported by Raven and Doomsday.
The Flash (Blackest Night), Raven (Prime), Doomsday (Blackest Night)
When an allied character is knocked out, Blackest Night Flash gains power and the team regains health. Raven provides additional health manipulation and power control. Doomsday provides raw durability and damage reflection.
This team is built for attrition. It gets stronger as fights go longer, which is the opposite of the Flashpoint team's philosophy. In modes where matches extend beyond the first exchange — longer Online Battle seasons, higher Survivor waves — this team gains relative strength over time.
When to swap members
The three-role framework from team building — damage, durability, and an answer to the mode — still applies, even within a named team composition. If your three characters have three of the same job, you are playing one role short.
Common swaps:
- Replacing a damage character in the Flashpoint team: If you do not have Flashpoint Deathstroke, Hawkgirl (Prime) provides faster tag-ins and stun chance, letting Batman and Aquaman cycle faster. The team loses some assist damage but gains control.
- Replacing a durability character in the Survivor team: If you do not have Batman Ninja Batman, Superman (Blackest Night) provides similar tanking with death-trigger power gain, but loses the guaranteed-crit specials.
- Replacing a support character everywhere: Batman (Dawn of Justice) provides a 25% team damage boost that works in any composition, at the cost of his own special damage.
The rule is simple: swap to fill a missing role, not to chase a higher-tier character that does not fill a gap you actually have.
How these teams intersect with spending
If you already own characters that are close to these compositions, the question is whether finishing them or acquiring the missing piece is the right call. That is the character service decision, and it depends on your diagnosis.
If the missing piece is one slot and the other two are built, a single character order is the right answer. If the missing piece exposes that the other two are also under-invested, save the money until you can afford to finish the whole team — otherwise you have four half-built characters instead of three.
And if you are close but short on resources to finish, the Injustice shop has sales that make large Power Credit purchases more efficient, and Injustice mods are account services that add the specific currencies you need. Both are linked guides with full breakdowns of when and how they make sense.
The short version
- Three finished characters beat six half-built ones in every mode.
- Online Battle wants Flashpoint crit core: Batman, Aquaman, Deathstroke with crit and DOT gear.
- Survivor Mode wants sustain: Astro Harness, hazard bleeds, tag-in control.
- Campaign wants reliability: percentage damage, health swapping, team-wide buffs.
- Batman Ninja builds power through blocking, Blackest Night builds power through death.
- Swap to fill a missing role, not to chase a higher-tier character.
- Finish what you start before starting something new.
